Can I Bring It?

Can you fly with a power bank that has no label?

Page updated · Sources and review method

An unlabelled power bank may be refused. A calculator cannot replace a required physical capacity mark. If the label is missing or unreadable, confirm acceptance with the airline before travelling.

A model name is not enough

A manufacturer may sell several capacities under a similar product name. Find the exact model and its battery rating. Do not infer capacity from the charging-output wattage or a seller’s headline.

Use the rated battery voltage

If the label gives mAh and nominal voltage, calculate Wh as mAh × V ÷ 1,000. Do not substitute USB output voltage. Where an airline requires a marked Wh rating, a calculation or screenshot may still be insufficient.
